Northern Oaks Estates

The Northern Oaks subdivision essentially began in the period of 1968-69 when what had been unusable farmland and the origins of Upper Lick Creek were developed by sections into a community of 134 lots, a major 45 acre lake (Northern Oaks Lake), and several smaller lakes and ponds. Due to heavy fall and spring rains, Northern Oaks Lake filled in less than one year. The Grand Oaks subdivision was developed in the period of 1980-81, adding another 34 lots and a 6 acre lake (Grand Oaks Lake) to the complex.
